The wine is made on the skins, with an extended maceration period. The fermentation process is followed by ageing.
It is a vibrant ruby red colour with violet hues. There is a fruity fragrance, with classic notes of ripe cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Boasting great structure and acidity, it has an untamed flavour that is counterbalanced by the softness of the tannins.
Ideal with vegetable soups and flavoursome rice and pasta dishes, it is also outstanding with beef and game.
